Where to crash? MainStay worked for us!

When all else fails, find a MainStay. So our housing situation was nothing to complain about and much to laugh at and that's how we decided to stay at MainStay Suites in Irving, TX. Amazingly, the hotel was located in walking distance from the venue where we performed at that night. We got the room, minor details were overlooked. When you're the customer though, no detail is too minor. The manager(owner?) and head maid showed just how major it was to make us feel comfortable and satisfied. Actually, the manager's assistance wasn't needed directly, but since we were VIP, he came up to speak to us. I definitely appreciate that, so I asked to take pictures with him.

This hotel was absolutely comfortable and convenient, especially for a low maintenance type of gal like me. A counter top desk (for laptop), wifi, standard size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and shelving. After buying food and snacks, I was all good and didn't really need to leave the room 'til the next gig. Even after I upgrade to a hotel with massage therapy services, I'd still stay here for all the above amenities and including the freedom to do running exercise on the stairway, laundry room, and 24 hr exercise room. We didn't want to part...but the show must go on so we headed for Arlington, TX for the last show in that area.

Leaving for tour

So nothing went as planned leaving for our tour. And that was mad cool. You can never plan awesomeness. We both experienced tests that could have shut this whole trip, but we're still rolling. We love writing, matter of fact, we both brought a suitcase full of poetry. For those who say we are crazy for driving across country on account of poetry, they're right. We are crazy about touching others with our words for inspiration, entertainment, social change, therapy, and purely poetry. We were told that what we have is verbal crack. Not sure much how addictive it is, but at least we know we don't want to stop. We will stories to tell.

Keep watching...
